Week Four | Autumn Anticipation

What’s Happening on the Farm

As the summer heat begins to wane, we at Stone Hollow Farmstead are busy transitioning our crops in preparation for the cooler, bountiful fall season. This week, our team has been tirelessly working to switch over to autumn staples such as figs, winter squashes, salad greens, and cabbages. With the anticipated break in the heat wave starting tonight, we're hopeful for a smoother transition and a thriving harvest.

Stone Hollow Farmstead Dahlias

Dahlia Day is just around the corner on September 8th, and preparations are in full swing to welcome all our guests to celebrate these resilient blooms. Despite a challenging summer, with issues from delayed tuber shipments to intense heat causing sprouts to burn, we've managed to nurture most of our dahlias through these hardships.

As we gear up for our 2024 holiday season, we’re thrilled to introduce our new olive oil cake gift box, which we hope will become a celebrated favorite. Remember, our fourth quarter is all about gifting and dividing dahlia tubers, so consider our gifting services for any occasion needing a thoughtful touch.

Stone Hollow Farmstead Figs

This week's CSA box previews autumn's bounty, including early figs and a selection of freshly harvested greens. While you'll find the full list on our blog, these highlights are just a taste of what’s to come.

Stone Hollow Farmstead Dahlias and More

Thank you for supporting our farm and participating in our CSA. We hope this week’s selection brings joy and flavor to your table.

Warm regards,

Deborah, Alexandra, and the Stone Hollow Farmstead Team
