Week Five | Spring at Full Speed: Dahlia Cuttings, Peonies + a Box of Green Goodness

Week 5 has arrived, and spring is in full swing at the farm. The garden beds are overflowing, and your CSA box reflects just that—lush greens, crisp roots, tender peas, and mushrooms full of umami flavor. This is the time of year when the season’s promise starts to truly take shape in the kitchen. From delicate lettuces to hearty fingerling potatoes, this week’s box is packed with ingredients for fresh, nourishing meals that feel just right for the moment.

Here at Stone Hollow, we’re also deep in our busiest shipping weeks—sending out thousands of dahlia tubers and rooted cuttings. Our team (with a few extra helping hands!) has been working around the clock to make it all happen, and we’re hopeful we will be finished by the end of April. Even more exciting news: This Saturday will be the first time our rooted dahlia cuttings will be available for purchase at Pepper Place Farmers Market. We’re thrilled to share this with you and hope you’ll stop by our booth between 9–12 to pick up a few for your garden. The peonies are blooming, the mornings are warming, and the farm is buzzing—spring has truly arrived.
