Week Six | Dahlia Days, Spring Greens + Pantry Favorites

Stone Hollow Farmstead

Week 6 is here, and your CSA box brings the kind of mix we love most—fresh-from-the-field greens, vibrant pantry staples, and a touch of something indulgent. You’ll find tender collards and purple onions from Love Light, pickled favorites from both Hamm and our farm kitchen, a fresh loaf of bread from Hinkle’s, eggs, cheese, and a seasonal flower bundle to brighten your space. Rain kept the romaine in the ground this week, but we’re hopeful it’ll be ready for harvest soon.

Behind the scenes at the farm, it’s been all hands on deck as we enter the final stretch of dahlia tuber and cutting shipments. Friday marks the end of this season’s shipping window, and while it’s been a monumental effort, we’re excited to pivot fully into planting and growing. Deborah and the team are putting more than 5,000 rooted dahlia cuttings into the soil, and we’re also prepping a limited online release of bonus tubers and cuttings—a little something special for those who missed out or want more.

And, as if that weren’t enough, the fields are now bursting with early spring blooms, and we’re preparing for a series of farm events you won’t want to miss. You can explore all upcoming happenings here:
