Week Two | Sweet Surprises and Farm Updates 🌿

What’s Happening on the Farm

We’re living in the Dahlia Gardens this week, managing water, battling the Alabama heat, and trying to keep the bugs at bay. We seem to grow bugs better than anything else here in Alabama! Our kitchen team is busy prepping holiday goodies, including Peaches in Syrup, Fairytale Peach, Pickled Peaches, and Peach Pie Filling. The dogs have all gotten their second summer shave and feel much happier (if a bit embarrassed about losing their fur). And on a joyous note, Alexandra and Christian welcomed their baby boy this past week, so we've been soaking up newborn bliss and sneaking in as many baby snuggles as possible!

What to Expect in Your CSA Box This Week

This week’s Late Summer CSA box is packed with fresh, seasonal goodies. Here are a few of the special items you can look forward to:

Chipolini Onions: These sweet, mild onions are perfect for caramelizing and adding to your favorite dishes.
Fresh Herbs | Rosemary & Oregano: Aromatic and flavorful, these herbs will elevate any meal.
Rainbow Eggs: Beautiful and colorful, these eggs come from our happy hens and are packed with nutrients.
Sweet Potatoes | Mississippi Delta: These sweet potatoes are versatile and delicious, perfect for roasting, mashing, or adding to a variety of recipes.

Remember to visit our FarmStand, where we have a variety of offerings perfect for gardening, hosting, and seasonal gifts. Our new inventory includes exciting products you won’t want to miss. The FarmStand is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturdays from 7am to 4pm. You can also find us at the Market at Pepper Place lot on Saturday mornings with fresh bouquets, plantable herbs, and more!
