Week Eight | Wrapping Up Our Late Summer CSA Season with Gratitude and Excitement for What’s Next

What’s Happening on the Farm

As we come to the final week of our Late Summer CSA season, we can’t help but feel a little sentimental. Normally, we offer a 10-week subscription, but this season was a special 8-week run, making this week’s pickup our last. We’ll certainly miss seeing all of our CSA friends each week, but we’re so thankful for the support you’ve shown us throughout this season. It’s been such a joy to share the freshest produce and specialty items from our farm and partner farms with you, and we hope you’ve loved every bite.

Dahlia Day was a highlight of the season, and we were thrilled to have local winemaker Jonathan Flowers (Alexandra’s brother-in-law) join us at the farm to discuss his latest project. He’s been working with hybridized grapes from, specifically bred to thrive in the Southeast’s heat. These grapes have been thriving at Stone Hollow, and we’re excited to see where this project leads. If you’re interested in Jonathan’s wine journey or his recommendations, make sure to follow him on Instagram here.

After a brief rest following Dahlia Day, we’ve jumped back into full gear on the farm! This week, we hosted a wonderful garden club from Lake Martin, sharing laughs and learning with these fabulous ladies. Behind the scenes, we’re also ramping up for the holiday season, snapping promotional photos, preparing marketing materials, and making sure all our shipping logistics are in place. There’s always so much happening here at Stone Hollow, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible team keeping everything running smoothly. Thank you for being part of our farm family this season, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
